Information & Assistance Program

Our goal in this department is to insure that seniors are made aware of the programs available to them.  Also, if they are eligible for those programs, our employees are here to assist them in enrollment so that they may begin receiving the benefits of those programs.  

The Senior Citizen's Information and Assistance Office is here to provide information, assistance, or referral to a wide variety of programs and services that enable seniors to maintain their independence both at home and in the community.  Services are also available to support family members who are making tough decisions on care for their aging parents, and health care providers looking for resources for their clients. 

The Information and Assistance Program provides the most curent information about:

  • Illinois Cares Rx (Formerly the Circuit Breaker)
  • Enrollment in Medicare Part D
  • Living Wills or Power of Attorney
  • Transportation Services
  • In Home Services
  • Home Delivered Meals
  • Senior Employment Services
  • Caregivers Program
  • Income Tax Preparation
  • News & Views Subscriptions (Monthly newsletter of interest to all senior    citizens - annual subscription rate of $2.00/year)

Our  well-trained staff is here to assist you with any need or question that you may have.

*The Information and Assistance office is open Monday thru Friday, 8:00 A.M. till 5:00 P.M.
